Missions and Outreach

Our missionaries, Marcus and Julia, are in a limited-access country in Asia. Marcus, along with his older brother Martin, spent his first year and a half in this country teaching English at a public university.  Marcus used his free time to evangelize and disciple college students and young professionals.  He soon fell in love with this country, church-planting and his wife, Julia. Seeing the millions of completely unreached people in this country and their receptivity to the gospel helped solidify Marcus and Julia’s conviction to do mission work in this country as long as God wants them to.

Because of their long-term commitment to this mission-field, Marcus and Julia felt it was essential for Marcus to learn the language in order to be a more effective missionary. (Julia didn’t need study the language, because she was born and grew up in this country.) For this reason, they moved to the capital city and enrolled in an intensive language program.

Marcus and Julia are currently working alongside their teammates and mentors, Gary and Danita, as they serve a small network of house churches in the capital city of this country. They plan to remain in this country indefinitely, planting churches and equipping national Christians to spread the Gospel.

"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20
